Dahlgren Hall

Dahlgren Hall was built in the late 1800’s on the campus of The U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The building has had many uses through the years, including use as a boat house, armory, golf driving range and munitions storage facility. It featured a small Navy plane suspended 50 feet above the ice. When it was remodeled for use as an ice rink in 1970, the ice surface was 240 feet long. It was adapted to a standard 200 foot ice rink in the late 1970’s. Dahlgren Hall closed for hockey use in March 2006, as the Naval Academy moved hockey to the Brigade Sports Complex for the 2007 season.
